Trauma

Grief and Loss

Trauma isn’t just about what happened—it’s also about how your body and nervous system responded to those experiences. Whether it stems from a single event or long-term challenges, trauma can leave you feeling stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed.

We approach trauma with a gentle and holistic perspective, incorporating EMDR therapy, mind-body integration, and trauma-informed therapy. By utilizing somatic therapy and mindfulness techniques, we create a safe space for your body and mind to begin processing, releasing, and healing at your own pace.

Grief and Loss

Grief and Loss

A cloud filled sky with sun rays shining through.

Grief is a natural response to losing someone or something meaningful. Whether it's the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, loss of a job, or a shift in identity or health—grief can show up in many forms. It’s not a linear process, and everyone experiences it differently. Trauma-informed therapy, such as EMDR therapy, can be a valuable resource in processing this grief. Loss changes us, but it doesn’t have to define us. Through mind-body integration and compassionate support, you can begin to integrate your grief and allow space for new growth.

Anxiety

Anxiety

Anxiety can manifest as racing thoughts, physical tension, difficulty sleeping, or a persistent sense of unease. Although it is a natural reaction to stress, it can become overwhelming when it feels like it's always 'on.'

We approach anxiety with compassion and curiosity, utilizing trauma-informed therapy that emphasizes mind-body integration. By incorporating techniques such as EMDR therapy, we help you slow down, reconnect with your body, and cultivate a sense of being more grounded and at ease in your daily life.

EMDR

Mind-Body Integration

Anxiety

EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a gentle, research-backed approach that aids the brain in healing from trauma and distressing memories. Instead of repeatedly retelling your story, EMDR utilizes bilateral stimulation—such as eye movements or tapping—to help your brain process and release what has been stuck. This trauma-informed therapy is provided in a safe, supportive space and can be effectively combined with mind-body integration techniques for deeper healing.

Mind-Body Integration

Mind-Body Integration

Mind-Body Integration

Mind-body integration is the understanding that our emotions, thoughts, and physical body are deeply connected. When we experience stress, trauma, or grief, it doesn't just affect the mind—it can manifest in the body as well. Through trauma-informed therapy, including EMDR therapy, we support healing by gently reconnecting these parts of you. By utilizing somatic practices, breathwork, and body awareness, we help you tap into your body’s wisdom, fostering balance, resilience, and a deeper sense of wholeness.

Mindfulness

Mind-Body Integration

Mind-Body Integration

Mindfulness is the practice of bringing your full attention to the present moment—without judgment. It involves noticing your thoughts, feelings, and body sensations with curiosity and compassion. In trauma-informed therapy, mindfulness plays a crucial role in fostering mind-body integration. Whether through breathwork, body awareness, or simply slowing down, these mindfulness practices can enhance EMDR therapy by helping to reduce anxiety, increase emotional clarity, and deepen your connection to yourself.

Yoga

Yoga

Yoga

I found yoga during my undergrad degree in 2015 and became a certified yoga teacher in 2024. Yoga is more than movement — it’s a way to connect mind, body, and breath. In therapy, I integrate gentle yoga practices, upon request,  to help clients release tension, build resilience, and cultivate inner calm. Whether through mindful breathing, grounding postures, or guided relaxation, yoga offers tools to support healing beyond words.

It’s not about flexibility or performance — it’s about creating space for your body to feel safe, steady, and present.
